Trip of a lifetime!
Amazing experience, gorgeous views and lots of info given in advance so we knew what to expect. 😀
Best family trip EVER !
This trip is our family’s favorite, EVER.
Being on the river with 3 generations, no digital devices, just enjoying each other in such a magical environment. The rapids, the warm water, the wild life, the idyllic camps, the yummy food, and of course the guides, every aspect was beyond our expectations. The guides are friends who clearly cared about us and set a great example of what it is to be a human on this planet.
Rivers and Oceans made it special and easy from inception to the end of our journey.
We can’t wait to travel again on a river trip and Rivers and Oceans will be our first call.
Spectacular in every aspect!
As a retired river guide, I was thrilled to take family and friends down one of the most beautiful rivers I’ve ever seen.
Entrusting my loved ones to the skilled guides was easy. From technical river skills and safety, to the quality meals and entertainment, the staff was impeccable.
I will remember that trip fondly, and look forward to playing on a river with them again:)
Checking off the bucket list
It was in the late 1970’s, while living in Angels Camp and working on the Stanislaus River when a fellow OARS guide, and good friend, Adam Wilson, returned from Idaho’s spring highwater. Beaming about the crystal clear water, unsullied wilderness, and of course the heart pounding rapids of the isolated Selway River, Adam was ready to head right back to this (for us) newly discovered paradise.
I wanted to go the following spring, however little did I know that it would be 40 years before I had my chance.
It was worth the wait!!
With scores of rivers on four continents under my belt, I can definitely place the Selway among the top five.
With only one trip a day starting from the put-in, it is rare to see other people on the River.
We share the River with the bald eagles soaring above, the black bears roaming the forest, and one time we had to slow down midstream to allow mother moose and calf crossing the river. Mother moose striding across the strong four foot deep current with ease!
Of course the crew was of the highest caliber, and ran an exemplary trip.
What else could I do? Like Adam had said back in the 70’s I wanted to head back…and I did, I now have two incredible Selway rafting trips under my belt.
Upper Half /Grand Canyon
Our trip went down the canyon without a hitch.
It exceeded all my expectations, and was humbling in its magnitude and beauty.
A trip I will never forget!
Once in a lifetime experience!
I went on a trip with my dad and brother in August, and it was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had. The Rivers & Oceans staff is very experienced, knowledgeable, and made the trip an incredible time! Words can’t describe how beautiful and unique this experience is, and Robby & team made sure we had the most fun possible while staying safe. The food was great, they know how to tailor the trip to each person, and have been on the river so much that they know little details to make it extra special. 10/10 recommend!
Fantastic Service and Trip!
First off let me say rafting the Grand Canyon is a trip of a lifetime and will be talked about for years to come. When we first discussed going we discovered there were multiple companies, different types of trips and it was a little overwhelming.
Then we were referred to Rivers and Oceans and it was a one stop shop. The staff has been down the river thus their knowledge is first hand and they were able to guide us through the process. They answered all of our questions, helped us understand the various options and ultimately booked us on a perfect trip at no additional cost! I cannot thank them enough for their advise and wisdom. I will use them for our next outdoor adventure.
Snorkeling with Sea Lions in Baja
We had a fantastic day trip and overall experience on Isla de Espiritu Santo, a National Marine Park and home to Mexico’s third largest sea lion colony. Rivers & Oceans set us up with a local outfitter in the area, and we had a blast snorkeling with the sea lions. Their guides were knowledgeable and fun, and the boat experience felt safe and well organized. After snorkeling with these playful animals at a beautiful protected reef, we went to a secluded beach where they had a delicious, fresh lunch waiting for us under a canopy. We enjoyed cold drinks and authentic food and then cruised back to La Paz as the sun was setting. Overall a great day, and would highly recommend booking through Rivers & Oceans for your adventure travel there in the future. Gracias por todo!
Had a blast!
This was a well organized group. The trip was amazing and they did a great job of putting kids from different families together so they had friends to play with during breaks. My son and I had a blast and can’t wait to do a longer trip!
Magical
Our family experienced a Magical once in a lifetime trip!
